dali141965 Love all of Gal Musette's work. There really is no artist right now that sounds anything like her music. Though, there are echoes of other, classic artists, like Joni Mitchell and even Edith Piaf in her work. Summertime has the expected dreaminess and superb harmonies I have come to expect from Grace. (even her real name describes her and her music) I am so glad she is back making music.

lyrics

Why does it always seem to happen in the Summertime?
Hopin’ these memories, in time, dilute and fade
Into a dusty dream where the edges aren’t so tangible
And the streets are of papier-mâché
When will I realize that Summer’s just a perfect storm
Glamoured in fervent days that swell through the night
I want my peaceful world back to the way it was before you blew my mind
Why is it always Summertime?
Maybe the heat just makes ya blind, I can’t say
Why does it always seem to come when least expected to?
In the blink of an eye a heart-shaped box can steal your soul
Make you forget the destination your directed to
Like your frozen whole
Why is it always Summertime?
Something the season left behind I can’t shake I can’t shake
Why is it always Summertime?
I can’t say
